Filipino Women for Art
The group was founded in 2004 to serve as a platform for Filipino women in Jakarta who have developed passion for painting while here in Indonesia.
Founded by Noreen M.Flores as a non-profit,non-religious and non-governmental organization, Filipino Women for Art simply aims to inspire and to showcase the artistic talents of Filipino women living in Jakarta. Its members have diverse professional backgrounds. What holds them together is their dedication to painting.
It is an informal Group. No dues are paid for membership. All that is required of a member is that she paints or wants to paint.
The group has held painting exhibitions every year since 2004 on various occasions and in various venues in Jakarta. Individual members have also exhibited in Indonesia and abroad.
